As the 101st graduating class of Holy Family High School in Broomfield prepared to turn their tassels and begin a new chapter, they received a special visit from Northern Colorado's new shepherd.

On Wednesday, May 20, Archbishop James Golka joined the graduates, their family and friends and school faculty, staff and students for the annual Baccalaureate Mass, a special liturgy to pray for and with those graduating. During the Mass, the faithful gave thanks for God's presence in the graduates' lives and stories and commended these seniors to God's providence as they go forth. In this way, the Baccalaureate Mass was a celebration of the graduates' accomplishments and a reminder of the values and community that have shaped them along the way.

Indeed, the Class of 2026 has much to celebrate as they move from Holy Family, including earning more than $17.5 million in merit-based scholarships to colleges and universities of their choice.

In his homily, the archbishop encouraged the graduates to remain grounded in faith and gratitude as they look towards the future.
