"I've decided to explore the Catholic Church," Beth Zarian told her son, Steven, one day.

Shocked, he quickly replied: "So am I!"

Independently of each other — even states apart — both Beth and Stephen had powerful encounters with Jesus in the Eucharist. Beforehand, they were both faithful Protestants, but felt drawn to the Catholic Church after their encounters.

They both joined the Rite (now Order) of Christian Initiation for Adults program to become Catholic. They were even confirmed one week apart, which allowed Beth to be there for her son's Confirmation!

Now Catholic, Steven was confronted with a new point for discernment: vocation, and the priesthood.

Having followed Jesus into the Catholic Church, Steven continued to follow Christ, first to a discernment group, then to a religious order and now to St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver.

In this video interview, Steven and Beth Zarian share how God was reaching out to them and offer their perspectives on conversion and vocation as a parent and a Catholic seminarian.
