St. John Paul II High School Coming to Loveland for First School Year

Northern Colorado's Catholic classical high school is coming to Loveland for its first school year on a new campus, and the Loveland Reporter Herald was excited to cover the milestone!

Founded in 2020 with the support of Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila, St. John Paul II High School has operated out of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Windsor. While the partnership has been fruitful, the school has sought a campus of its own to allow for growth and expansion.

In June 2024, the school's first seniors graduated on land purchased for that new campus. Leadership broke ground on the new school the same summer. But over time, the building project proved an insurmountable challenge.

"Because we were unable to build there, we were kind of stuck,” Tim Gallic, the school's president, told the Loveland Reporter Herald. “We were renting some facilities in Windsor, and they weren’t big enough for us to grow."

But then, Gallic discovered an old public elementary school building in Loveland that had been vacant for some time. St. John Paul II High School purchased the building last July and began renovations to open it this fall.
