When the calendar turns to a new year, thousands of Catholics, from college students to grandparents, parish leaders to young families, will begin 2026 not with resolutions, but with a pilgrimage of the heart.
From January 1 to 5, the Archdiocese of Denver will welcome one of the largest Catholic gatherings in the country: SEEK 2026, the annual evangelization conference hosted by FOCUS.
For decades, SEEK has been a catalyst for conversion, courage and mission. But this year, under the theme “To the Heights,” the conference takes on a new dimension, inviting every attendee to encounter Jesus more deeply and to strive, with renewed energy, toward holiness. Inspired by the famous rallying cry of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, the theme calls the Church to lift its gaze above distraction and discouragement and rediscover the joy of the Gospel.
And for the first time ever, SEEK will unfold simultaneously in three cities — Columbus, Fort Worth and Denver — uniting tens of thousands in a shared experience of worship, learning and renewal.
“An Invitation to Encounter Jesus Christ”
“SEEK is more than just a conference. It’s an invitation to encounter Jesus Christ and to respond to his call in our lives,” said Curtis Martin, founder of FOCUS. “As St. Pier Giorgio reminds us, we are called to the heights, to live lives of holiness, joy and mission.”
For five days, the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center will serve as a hub of Catholic life, featuring keynote talks from some of the most trusted voices in the Church, daily Mass and Adoration, opportunities for Confession, vocational discernment, fellowship and a vibrant community. Attendees can expect workshops that strengthen discipleship, practical tools for evangelization and encounters that form lifelong friendships rooted in Christ.
SEEK is not only for college students. Young adults, married couples, parishioners, priests, parish staff and ministry leaders will all find a place in this gathering of faith.
A Joy for Denver
Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila welcomed the news with gratitude and hope.
“Here in the Archdiocese of Denver, we are deeply blessed to welcome the SEEK conference this January,” he said. “The theme, ‘To the Heights,’ inspired by St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, speaks beautifully to the calling of every Christian, especially our young people, to embrace the joyful yet demanding journey toward holiness. It will be a great joy for me to celebrate with the many pilgrims who will gather here. I pray that through SEEK, the Holy Spirit will bring renewed hope, deeper conversion and a fresh outpouring of grace upon the Church in Denver and throughout our nation.”
A Moment for Renewal
The Church in Northern Colorado has long been marked by missionary zeal, from the legacy of Pope St. John Paul II and World Youth Day ’93 to today’s thriving ministries, apostolates and parish life. Hosting SEEK continues that story.
The conference offers a space where the Church’s mission becomes personal:
A student hearing Christ’s voice for the first time
A young adult finding community and purpose
A married couple strengthened in faith
A parish leader returning home renewed
A priest encouraged by the witness of thousands
SEEK has been the spark for countless vocations, conversions and missionary commitments around the world. Now, Denver has the privilege of witnessing that grace in its own backyard.
Come to the Heights
As the new year begins, SEEK invites every Catholic—whether lifelong or newly returning—to step toward Christ with hope.
