Here’s a list of all the new priest assignments for the Archdiocese of Denver, including new pastor and parochial vicar assignments and priest departures.

Pastors

Father Jerzy Frydrych, granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, appointed pastor, St. Joseph Polish Parish, Denver, effective August 20, 2026, until his time in ministry here has ended.

Father Jean-Marie Mwenze Kemukwa, parochial administrator, Holy Family Parish, Fort Collins, effective September 11, 2026, ad nutum archiepiscopi.

Parochial Vicars

Father Cesar M. Cajetan Arras, C.R., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, and appointed, Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Denver, effective August 15, 2026, until his time in ministry here has ended.

Father Carlos Alberto Montilla Dominguez, granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, and appointed, St. Cajetan Parish, Denver, effective August 28, 2026, ad nutum archiepiscopi.

Father Juan Espino de la Riva, D.C.J.M., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, and appointed, St. Mary Parish, Littleton, effective July 31, 2026, until his time in ministry here has ended.

Father Juan Diego de Maria Gomez Jimenez, C.R., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver effective June 7, 2026, and appointed, St. Joseph Parish, Denver, effective July 1, 2026, until his time in ministry here is complete.

Father Sebastianus Soy Mulu, O.S.M., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, and appointed, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Denver, effective July 1, 2026, until his time in ministry here is complete.

Father David Ramirez, F.S.S.P., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, and appointed, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Littleton, effective July 1, 2026, until his time in ministry here has ended.

Father Philip Stokman, F.S.C.B., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, and appointed, Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Broomfield, effective July 10, 2026, until his time in ministry here has ended.

Father Marvin Bearis, O.F.M. Cap., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, appointed to Mission and Ministry with FOCUS, effective August 1, 2026, until his time in ministry here is complete. He will be in residence at the St. Francis of Assisi Friary in Denver.

Father Mauricio Bermudez, granted Medical Leave of Absence and assigned residency, St. James Parish, Denver, effective June 1, 2026, until September 30, 2026.

Father Juan Manuel Bonilla, released to serve as a Neocatechumenal Way Itinerant Missionary Priest, Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon, effective August 25, 2026, until September 20, 2026.

Father Daniel J. Finucane, S.J., was granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, effective July 30, 2026, until his time in ministry here is complete. He will be in residence at the Xavier Jesuit Center, Denver.

Father Jose de Jesus Garcia, Neocatechumenal Way Itinerant Missionary Priest, Diocese of Brooklyn, New York, effective July 1, 2026, until June 30, 2027.

Father Timothy Hjelstrom, released for ministry in the Archdiocese of Las Vegas, effective July 1, 2026, until June 30, 2027.

Father Matteo Invernizzi, F.S.C.B., departing Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Broomfield, effective August 10, 2026, to Nairobi, Kenya, for a new mission from his General Superior.

Father Jose Noriega, D.C.J.M., departing St. John Vianney Theological Seminary, Denver, effective July 31, 2026, for another assignment from his Superior General.

Father Juan Puech, D.C.J.M., departing St. Mary Parish, Littleton, to Stamford, Connecticut, for another assignment by his Superior General.

Father Daniel P. White, S.J., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver, effective September 1, 2026, until his time in ministry here is complete. He will be in residence at the Regis High Jesuit Community, Centennial.

Father Daniel Zimmerschied, assigned residency, St. Jude Parish, Lakewood, effective June 1, 2026, ad nutum archiepiscopi.

Father Jaime Antonio Valdez-Vargas, incardinated into the Archdiocese of Denver on July 1, 2026, and appointed Pastor of St. Thérèse Parish in Aurora, effective July 1, 2026, until June 30, 2032.

Father Gustavo Adolfo Becerra Mendez, incardinated into the Archdiocese of Denver on July 1, 2026. He will continue as parochial vicar of St. Cajetan Parish, Denver.
