Official Priest and Deacon Assignments: July 2025

Here’s a list of all the new priest assignments for the Archdiocese of Denver, including the newly ordained priests, new pastor and parochial vicar assignments, transitional deacon assignments and priest departures. These appointments are effective July 1, 2025, unless noted otherwise.


New Pastor Assignments for Six Years

Father Juan Miguel Tabares-Zamora, C.R., Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Denver


Parochial Vicars

Father Blaise Peter Buches, Holy Trinity Parish, Westminster, and Our Lady of Visitation Mission Church, Denver


Father Jose Felipe Delgado, St. John the Baptist Parish, Longmont


Father Craig Kinneberg, Holy Name Parish, Sheridan


Father Miguel Angel Guzman, C.R., Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Denver (for six years)


Transitional Deacons

Deacon Luke Patrick Friess, granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to Good Shepherd Parish, Denver, effective April 27, 2025, ad nutum archiepiscopi.


Deacon Victor Rosales-Martinez, C.R., granted Diaconal Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and was assigned to St. Andrew Avellino Seminary, Denver, effective immediately, until August 8, 2025. 


Other Assignments/Departures:

Father Gene Emrisek, O.F.M. Cap., granted Presbyteral Faculties of the Archdiocese of Denver and assigned residence at the St. Francis Friary in Denver, Colorado, effective immediately, until his time in ministry here has ended.


Father Benito Hernandez, C.R., departs Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Denver, to another assignment from his Provincial Superior.
