For decades, Msgr. Ken Leone has been a familiar presence in parishes, hospitals and communities throughout the Archdiocese of Denver. Known for his joyful spirit, boundless energy and deep pastoral heart, he has touched the lives of countless people during more than 50 years of priesthood.

Now, the story of his life and ministry is captured in Kenny, a new 58-minute documentary streaming on the Augustine Institute’s Catholic platform, Formed. The film offers viewers — both those who know him personally and those meeting him for the first time — a moving portrait of a priest whose life has been spent in service to Christ and his Church.

The documentary traces Msgr. Leone’s journey from ordination through decades of ministry in a variety of parishes. Along the way, it highlights the countless ways he has encouraged, challenged and loved the people entrusted to his care. Through archival footage, interviews and personal stories, Kenny reveals the faith, humility and humor that have made him so beloved among local Catholics.

Many in the archdiocese will recognize moments and faces throughout the film. Msgr. Leone’s pastoral assignments have brought him to parishes across the region, and his ministry has extended well beyond the parish boundaries — whether through hospital visits, prison ministry or simply being a listening ear to someone in need. The documentary captures these moments with warmth and authenticity, showing both the joys and challenges of a priestly life lived generously.

Produced as a tribute to his priesthood, Kenny also invites viewers to reflect on the gift of the priesthood itself. Msgr. Leone’s story reminds us that a vocation is not simply a career path but a lifelong “yes” to God’s call, lived out in daily acts of love and service.

The Augustine Institute’s Formed platform makes the film widely accessible to Catholics in the Archdiocese of Denver and beyond. Formed offers a wide range of Catholic content — films, documentaries, Bible studies and more — and many local parishes have subscriptions that allow parishioners to stream the film for free. That means watching Kenny is as simple as logging in to Formed.org and searching for the title.

For those who have known Msgr. Leone personally, the film is a chance to revisit memories and give thanks for his ministry. For those who may not know him, it is an inspiring introduction to a man who has lived his priesthood with joy, resilience and an unwavering focus on the Gospel.

Kenny is more than just a biographical documentary; it is a testament to how one life, fully given to God, can radiate his love to thousands.

Kenny is available now to stream on Formed. To watch, visit Formed.org and search for “Kenny.”
