Something special is happening in Colorado.
This year, WalletHub ranked our state the 6th most charitable in the nation — climbing two spots from last year. That means Coloradans are not only giving back, they’re giving more than ever before. It’s no surprise to those who live here: we see generosity happen every day in mountain towns, suburbs and city streets across the Front Range.
Giving is simply part of who we are.
We shovel our neighbor’s driveway after a snowstorm. We show up with meals, rides and open hands. We rally when someone is hurting. And on Colorado Gives Day, our statewide tradition of generosity reaches a joyful peak.
This year, as Colorado celebrates its charitable spirit, Catholics have a unique opportunity. Let’s give local. Let’s give faithfully. Let’s give where our gift strengthens the Church and blesses our communities.
Giving local means giving to the people you pray with, live with and see every day.
Across Northern Colorado, Catholic ministries are quietly and powerfully transforming lives, feeding the hungry, forming future priests, strengthening families, welcoming the stranger and offering hope where it’s needed most.
If you’re proud to live in one of the most generous states in America, consider channeling that generosity toward the ministries that serve your own backyard:
The Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal — supporting 40+ ministries across Northern Colorado, touching nearly every corner of parish and community life.
Catholic Charities of Denver — the front line of care for thousands across the archdiocese: shelter, food, housing assistance, early childhood education, counseling and life-affirming services for families.
Catholic Foundation of Northern Colorado — helping individuals and families support the parishes, schools and ministries they love most.
Seeds of Hope — opening the doors of Catholic education for families through scholarships for K–8 schools.
Annunciation Heights — forming hearts through encounters with God and the beauty of the Rockies.
Centro San Juan Diego — uplifting Hispanic families through formation, leadership and support.
St. John Vianney Seminary & Redemptoris Mater Seminary — preparing the next generation of priests for our parishes.
St. John Vianney Lay Division — forming lay disciples eager to grow in knowledge and love of Christ.
Retired Priests Appeal — providing care for those who have spent their lives serving us.
Christ in the City — ministering to our homeless neighbors through authentic friendship.
Creatio — facilitating encounter with God, self, others and creation through pilgrimage and adventure.
FIRE Foundation of Denver — ensuring students with disabilities can learn and belong in our Catholic schools.
Julia Greeley Home — offering a family-style, faith-filled home for women experiencing homelessness.
Mother Cabrini Shrine — a place of pilgrimage and prayer high above the city.
St. Vincent de Paul Society of Denver — bringing Christ’s love through personal, neighbor-to-neighbor care.
Generosity is who we are. Faith gives it purpose.
Colorado Gives Day isn’t just about checking a box. It’s a celebration of what makes Colorado a special place to live. And when we give to Catholic ministries, that generosity becomes a work of mercy and evangelization.
It becomes a meal for a family.
A scholarship for a child.
A warm place to sleep.
A seminarian on the path to priesthood.
A woman rediscovering her dignity.
A neighbor finding hope again.
This year, let’s show what it means to be both Coloradan and Catholic.
Choose a local ministry that speaks to your heart. Support their mission. Pray for those they serve. And give in a way that reflects the love of Christ: generously, joyfully, wholeheartedly.
Colorado is one of the most charitable states in America. On Colorado Gives Day, let’s make that generosity shine even brighter — by giving local and Catholic.
