Cabrini’s ‘Miracle of the Mountains’ Featured on FOX31

Over 100 years ago, one intrepid Italian nun arrived to the Rocky Mountains, looked at a parcel of land and knew that God would provide.


Mother Cabrini had only just arrived to Denver and established Queen of Heaven Orphanage when she realized they needed more room for the children.


Her prayerful trust in God led her to what would decades later become the Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden, at the time a plot of bare land with no water.


But Mother Cabrini’s confidence in the Lord’s provision allowed her to look deeper, and thus the “miracle of the mountains” came about.
