A golden display

Golden, silk-woven priestly vestments depicting the salvation of mankind are on display at the Denver Art Museum downtown through April 27. The late-19th century French “Angel Chasuble,” center, and matching stole, maniple, and chalice veil and cover were a gift of Father John Krenzke, former diaconate chaplain and Denver Catholic Register columnist. A special exhibit called “Cover Story” features the vestment made for Mass that shows Mary standing below the Trinity and holding the child Jesus surrounded by music-making angels.
