On the weekend of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, faithful from around the Archdiocese of Denver are welcome to give public witness to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

Throughout his ministry on earth, Jesus was known for going “around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and curing every disease and illness” (Matthew 9:35).

What was true 2,000 years ago is only all the truer today, especially as the Church of Denver prepares to walk with Jesus through the heart of our city.

On Saturday, June 6, starting at 5:30 p.m., the Eucharistic Jesus will process through the streets of Denver, followed by his faithful. In conjunction with the Corpus Christi Solemnity, which celebrates the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the procession seeks to give public witness to the Catholic faith in a manner reminiscent of the summer 2024 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage’s events in Northern Colorado. By prayerfully processing through downtown Denver, faithful from around the archdiocese will give powerful testimony to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

Led by Denver Archbishop James Golka and Auxiliary Bishop Jorge Rodríguez, the downtown procession will begin with prayer outside Holy Ghost Parish, wind through downtown Denver and end in Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park across from the Colorado State Capitol.

For more information on the procession, see the flyers linked below in English and Spanish.
