Summer is fast-approaching and, with it, lots of free time for children across Northern Colorado. Before you get too stressed over finding things for them to do, check out Annunciation Heights and their youth camp offerings this summer!
Through their youth camps, one of their seven mission streams, Annunciation Heights aims to bring young people into an encounter with Jesus Christ especially through adventure, nature, prayer and community.
"Youth camp exists as an experience of authentic joy founded upon an encounter with Jesus Christ, that all we serve might be transformed and find rest in the love of the Father," said Will Muraski, director of youth and family programs.
Blending "good, old-fashioned fun and adventure" with prayer and community, youth camps at Annunciation Heights "foster an environment of play and childlike abandon," in which campers encounter God, each other, themselves and creation in a new, joy-filled way.
"This joy permeates every aspect of camp life. It comes out of an experience of relationship with God in the context of lived community where joy pierces the darkness and busyness of everyday life and shines light into the most hidden of hearts," Muraski continued.
The result is a powerful, transformative experience where campers come to know God — all while having a blast. In fact, 97% of campers reported that their relationship with Jesus had improved significantly following their week of youth camp!
