In solidarity with the country of Ukraine and its people, the talented choir at Denver’s Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, under the conduction of director of sacred music Phil Bordelaeu, has posted a moving video performance of Ukraine’s spiritual anthem. The hymn is titled “Bozhe velykyj yedynyj” and was written by Mykola Lysenko.

The original text has been transliterated into English for this rendition. For Ukrainians worldwide, this is their prayer for peace and blessings in their native homeland. Let us all join in prayer for peace in Ukraine and an end to the violent incursion by Russia of this peaceful and sovereign country.
