Here’s a list of the latest permanent deacon appointments for the Archdiocese of Denver, effective July 1, 2026, unless otherwise noted.


Deacons Assigned to New Parishes 

Deacon Thomas Garcia, relieved of duties at Shrine of St. Anne Parish, Arvada, and appointed to St. John Paul II Parish, Thornton, ad nutum archiepiscopi.

 

Deacon Thinh Le, relieved of duties at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Lakewood, and appointed to Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs Parish, Wheat Ridge, ad nutum archiepiscopi.

 

Deacon Brandon Justice has been granted diaconal faculties in the Archdiocese of Denver and appointed to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Longmont, ad nutum archiepiscopi.

 

Retirements, with faculties

Deacon John Ton, effective May 1, 2026.

 

Deacon August Cordova, effective June 30, 2026.

 

Deacon Frederick Torrez, effective June 30, 2026.


Departures

Deacon Scott Boken, relieved of duties at St. Mary Parish, Greeley and granted permission to relocate to the Archdiocese of Mobile, Alabama, effective June 30, 2026.
