About the event
Denver-based St. Martin’s Chamber Choir, Colorado’s only year-round, fully professional choir, opens its 33rd season of performances September 18 and 19 with From Darkness to Light: Mozart Reimagined. The concert is centered around the composer’s iconic Davide Penitente cantata, a composition repurposed from his unfinished Great Mass in C minor that highlights the flexibility and depth of his compositional voice. This performance is believed to be the Colorado premiere of Davide Penitente, offering audiences a rare opportunity to hear a significant Mozart work that has never been presented in the state.
