A historic change is coming to Denver, as Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila approaches the formal end of his ministry in Denver next week and Archbishop-designate James Golka prepares for his installation as the sixth Archbishop of Denver.

Ahead of that transition, Archbishop Aquila sat down with EWTN News to reflect on his time shepherding the Lord’s flock in Northern Colorado: a time of blessing and challenge, of joy and difficulty over the past thirteen and a half years.

The wide-ranging interview covered a variety of topics, including immigration, vocations, Catholic education and pro-life issues in Colorado, and reflects the archbishop’s pastoral heart for his people. Even as he heads into retirement, Archbishop Aquila continues to preach the Gospel courageously, inviting others into loving relationship with Jesus Christ.

To watch the interview, tune into EWTN News In Depth on Friday, March 20, at 6:00 p.m. It will be broadcast via EWTN live, and will be posted online after the fact to watch via EWTN On Demand and YouTube.
